Intake capacity - common questions

The questions firms ask most about how much volume a desk can hold, pacing limits and what over-delivery costs.

For attorneys and firm administrators. Injured people should not use this page.

If your question is not here, the criteria conversation is where it gets answered.

  1. Question 01

How do we work out our real capacity?

Count the inquiries your team can genuinely work in a day - reached, spoken to and followed up - not the number that can be received. The difference between the two is where inquiries go quiet. The capacity conversation starts from your records, not from an assumption.

  2. Question 02

What happens when volume exceeds capacity?

The surplus does not queue politely. It ages, converts for whoever answers instead, and the source takes the blame on the next spreadsheet review. Over-delivery is a cost, not a bonus.

  3. Question 03

Can delivery be paced to the capacity we have?

Yes - that is the point of the exercise. Weekly and daily limits are written into the scope and matched to the cover you described, so inquiries arrive at a rate the desk can hold.

  4. Question 04

What if our capacity changes mid-pilot?

Pacing is adjusted in writing, either direction. Staff holidays, a court-heavy month, a new hire - the limits follow the desk, and every change is recorded.

  5. Question 05

Does a smaller cap mean a worse deal?

No. A cap matched to capacity converts better than volume that overflows it, and it costs less. The cap is a control, not a discount tier.

  6. Question 06

What does this cost to work out?

Nothing before a pilot is scoped. Capacity, pacing and criteria are settled in the same conversation, and you see the cost and the cap before approving anything.
