Your questions

What makes an inquiry billable?

An inquiry is billable when its recorded answers and delivery conditions satisfy the written qualification criteria your firm approved for that campaign.

The criteria control

Your agreed criteria define the required screening answers, exclusions, geography, language or contact requirements, and delivery conditions. We use those criteria to decide which inquiries are delivered and billed.

If a requirement matters to billing, it should be stated in objective language before launch. Terms such as ‘good case’ or ‘serious injury’ need an agreed operational definition before they can be applied consistently.

Qualification is narrower than legal merit

Screening can record a person’s answers and apply agreed rules. It cannot establish compensability, prove facts, clear conflicts, predict a recovery, or substitute for attorney judgment. A billable inquiry may still be declined after your firm completes its own assessment.

Changes apply prospectively

As outcomes accumulate, your firm may want to revise the criteria. We document the change and its effective date so records delivered under the former standard remain distinguishable from records delivered under the revised one. Availability and price may need to be revisited when criteria become materially narrower or broader.
